The car is 4 hours from where i now live and the only time i have to work on it is during holidays or weekends. I would tread slowly and make sure you do things right. I would remove the bedplate and oil pump altogether, clean all surfaces and apply fresh anaerobic. Anaerobic sealant only cures in the absence of air: there's probably no sealant in that big gap where the bolt was missing.
I'm probably a little late with that bit of advice, but better late than never.
