Not that this matter at all but I have been on several diffirent car forums in the past six years. And every forum has simular rules, and simular ways things are ran. And one rule is to ALWAYS use the [SEARCH] button at the top of every forum page. Now we all repeat this over and over to every new person to the forums so the same questions don't get asked a million times. Users hate it when the same thing is asked over and over. But here is my deal, I just finished using the search feature on this site for the past hour and a half using diffirent ways to work my searches. I came to the conclusion that the search on this forum site looks for your key words in the text of other threads. This is discouraging because nobody wants to go through each and every thread and read hundrests of posts to find info on even the slightest bit of information. I know I'm new and all and I don't want to come off as a jerk but is there a way we could start a *Sticky* topic on the basic brand parts used best in our cars? I'm not talking the most expensive and crazy technology. I'm talking about reliability, something that EVERYBODY knows to work and work well. So lets see if any sparked information can be compiled in a single thread. I even named the thread Tune-up so it will be easy to spot when the search feature is used. As you will all learn my down fall on these sites is taht I'm long winded. I like to get all of the information needed in my first post. So what do you all say? Lets get this started I'll throw out some general ideas to build up on and then everybody else can add their two cents. I wan't to get everything in this thread from Spark Plugs to replacing parts that should be replaced when buying a DSM for yourself, parts such as bushings, motor mounts, and brake lines. Lets :beatentodeath: one more time and lets start with the basic tune-up:

Spark Plugs,
Spark Plug Wires,
Fuel Filter,
Air Filter,
Rotary Cap and Bug,
Oil brand and type,
Transmission Fluid brand and type (Auto/Manual)

That should be a good start unless any of you have more to add to the basic tune-up.

PCV valve - Autozone
Power steering belt - Gatorback
Alternator belt - Gatorback
timing belt - OEM

Thats all I can think of to add right now.

Lets get some name brands and where to find them like for instance:

NGK Copper Core plugs from Autozone for $1.95 per plug.
