Its normal for those cracks to happen on a older turbo. I would do a leak down and compression check so you can pinpoint the problem. If no leaks you know its not the rings or valves.

right before i took the manifold off tonight i did a leak down test and could only find one somewere around the turbo area i checked all over and couldnt find it!! could this be the seals in the turbo?

The picture clearly implicates exhaust valve seals.

turbo seal leaking!!!
Please explain how will oil from turbo seal flow backwards to the exhaust ports?

Thats just what i was thinking oldman! Today after i got home from work i unplugged all the spark plug wires so the motor would not start and as my dad cranked the engine over i watched all the valves move up and down and after a couple of minutes of cranking i noticed sumthing was leaking very slowly down from the top of some of the valves!!!!?????
oil????? and if so how could this happen in just one day?? Meaning one day be perfectly fine then next be smokein pretty bad!! Car smoke's worse as the motor warm's up!!!

from the top of some of the valves!!!!?????
That is exactly where valve seals are.

Have your dipstick popped out lately? Are your crankcase properly ventilated?

Hey guys i know this is a old write up but the smokein has gottin worse to were its all the time!! Motor cold or hot it still smokes a bit. Here are some of my issues im have now that im thinking would be leading towards my valves seals gone!!

On a completly cold start ill watch my boost gauge and as soon as i start the motor my boost gauge should read 18hg right?? Mines doesn't it takes a couple minutes to get down to 18!!

Also on the maft i have to set it to lean it to 580cc injectors in order to get it to run right Even if i set my maft to 560 or so it shoots out black smoke at idle!!

Also some times it wont even boost anymore then 6 or 7 psi!!

Would this all be a issue with my valve seals leaking?? I just wanna make sure its the seals before I take the head off!!!

You should check your compression while your at it. My valve seals leak and the car smoke when i start it and if i let it idle for over 3 minutes, but it doesnt smoke under boost or normal driving conditions. It sucks because i just had the engine rebuilt 2 months ago and the head redone 7 months ago.

I doubt if compression is that good that the oil control rings would be toast. I am going to say either turbo seals are trash, or valve stem seals are shot (common problem with old Mitsubishis), or both.

Well see i dont think it would be the turbo cus it smoked with the 14b so i bought a evo3b16g and it still smokes with the brand new turbo!! I was told that i could change out the valve seals with out removing the head if this is true what would i all need to do it????

Seeing as in your earlier posts you stated that you saw 'sumthin' leaking down from the top of the valves, I would bet it's your stem seals. And please stop with the !!! and ??? because it gets very annoying to read your sentences in my head and end each one with a huge exclamation.
