I have on almost every journal .

Rod 1.796''

Main 2.269''

In the ACL catalog is says shaft for rod Min - 1.7713 / Max -1.7717
For main it says Min- 2.2433 / Max 2.2441

? I measured countless times to check if I was off this doesn't make sense.

Notice that you are consistently off by 2/100ths of an inch? I second trying another micrometer or checking the calibration on yours.

To measure a 2'' journal I can only use my new 2-3'' micrometer.

For the rod the 1-2'' is the only one I can use.

What brand of micrometer do you have?

Well I'm not sure but I have the same ones at school.
