Hey fellas,
My 99 gst has pretty much been collecting dust for the last two years. Piece by piece the motor has been pulled apart and placed on ebay. I yanked the motor well over a year ago. I recently scored a 7bolt 4g63 from an expo rvr (JDM motor..hey the price was right). Considering it's been a long time since I've looked at my dsm, I'm kind of lost as to how to put it all back together. I finished mounting the motor today. I'm left with the harness, piping, radiator, etc to go. Anyways....does anyone here have link to a breakdown of the 99gst engine wiring harness??..meaning "this plug has these color wires, and goes to this.."
I'm also questioning myself on a move I made a couple of days ago. The motor i recieved did not have a CAS on the upper passanger side of the valve cover. At the time it seemed like a good idea to just pop off the block off plate that is installed there on the JDM motor and install my current CAS there. Should I of done differently?
Does anyone have a link to a complete walkthrough of a 4g63 swap for me to use a reference? I know alot of it is common sense, but it'd help to have something to use as refernce when a question arrises. It's not a 6 bolt conversion or anything, just a simple 7 bolt to 7 bolt swap. (aside from having to swap over a few parts from a usdm motor. This is my first motor install and I'm pretty much on my own...just need the help of some cyber friends??
