I was curious if anyone could suggest an Air Fuel computer that you can plug a laptop into? or maybe I don't even need that, but I figure it'd be the easiest way to get a large amount of information displayed. I guess I am just trying to figure out what type of A/F computer I would want to get. I know someone who had an Apex-I AFC on his Evo VIII and he really liked it. That one isn't too expensive either. I was hoping for something under $300-400.

I will tell you from my expierences that the SAFC is not the way to make big power, IMO its just a bandaid for fuel cut.

You might look into a greddy e-manage, it looks like a nice unit. I wont get to tinker with one till summer but everything I read about it sounds pretty decent.

Or DSMLink, It cost about $150 more than a Safc II and a datalogger setup. But it is no where near the same ballpark, Palm pilot dataloggers are way to slow, and Piggyback units do not allow you to compensate for large enough injectors. With DSMLink there are alot of adjustments that allow you to improve drivability like airflow, deadtime, global fuel. It has Timing adjustments which can yeild good gains, Nitrous control(or alchy injection), Rev limiters, no lift to shift, anti-lag launch control.

I once did the bandaid method of tuning, and now every car that I modify gets dsmlink before fuel mods.

Yeah the DSMLink looks nice. Maybe I'll save up for that.

Anyone know of any good OBD II sensor readers that work with a laptop? Cheaper? one of these days I'm going to get one. (And I know it won't apply to a 1g DSM)
