When was it idle surging, when it's warmed up or when it's cold?. Alsoclick here and see is any of those threads sound like your problem, and try the fixes posted.

You probably didn't let the ecu reset. Unplug the battery for a half an hour, then reconnect it. Let the car warm up, then take it for a drive. IT should set itself in 15-20 minutes after being plugged in. If problems persist, have someone turn the key to ignition (W/O starting it) and see if you hear a click coming from the throttle body. If you dont, the ISC is bad. If you do, make sure the water lines running the FIAV are hooked up. (FIAV is the bottom of the throttle body) Theres a rubber seal in there that heats up with the antifreeze, and closes off an air passage to the engine. This lets the car control the idle. If problems still persist, adjust the TPS. (black sensor on the front of the throttle body) It is very possible that the previous owner messed with this trying to get the fuel curves right with no MAS.

Edit. After rereading all the posts in this thread...shouldn't the rule apply not only to those who don't use proper grammar, but to those who flame for not using proper grammar, while not contributing anything beneficial? It's against the forum rules to flame, but on top of that, to flame with out answering the posted question at all? Just is mind boggling to me. By doing that you only make the thread worse.

yes I did reset the ecu the check engine light went off. but when I shut the car off and started again it come back on. I will check ISC but I already adjusted TPS it went from bad to worst. thanks for your help

Could I get a clarification? Did you:
1. Reset ECU
2. Turn the key but don't start the car?
I'm just trying to determine where the issue lies because to me, after you turn the key, it checks the sensors and after they come back fine, the idiot lights turn off. If you have an idiot light that stays on after you turn the key and don't start it, we are talking about a sensor issue.

Not to mention, when you turn the key on, but don't start the car, you move the ISC. Some people call this "reseting the ISC." So If you unplug your battery, you reset the ecu. Then when you turn the key on partly, you "reset" the ISC. Not to mention if you hear it click, you know that it is working. Another way to check is to pull it out of the throttle body, but leave it plugged into the wiring harness. Again turn the key to ignition, and see if the black stepper is moving in and out.

1.yes I reset the ecu
2.no. I did not just turn the key but I started the car the light stayed off while the car was running. I ran the car 30 min or so then cut it off then started the car again and the light comes back on.
