hey guys. I'm sure I'm a bit late on this one, however we have a meet every Tuesday night at Hullihans on Rt 17 south in Hasbrouck Heights. Here's the address: 5 State Highway # 17, Hasbrouck Hts, NJ. There's a buncha cars that show up; mainly mazda's, 300zx's, audis, VW's, and wrx's. As of right now, It's me and 2 other DSM's and the occasional evo or 2 that show up. COME HELP ME REPRESENT!

I go to this meet every tuesday.. We need more DSM's.. there's only about two that go and that's sometimes..

The meet usually goes till around 11pm I wanna say. Used to run till atleast 12, however it's starting to get pretty cold so I'm sure people are gonna start leaving earlier. It starts at around 9, btw. It's not a huge meet, maybe around 30 cars or so so it may not be worth coming down from Brooklyn. Hey mnetwork, I'm assuming your the guy I talk to with the red talon. Nothing much. I'll see you down there tonight, hopefully with a few new faces.

Not going tonight.. egging kids tonight, LOL

No, I believe that Hullihans is on Rt 17 north. This one is on the southbound side, further south past Maywood. The town is called Hasbroook Heights. (need a spell check on that) And yes, people still meet up there, however the large croud has dwindled down. Now, It's pretty much the VW croud and my group and Mark (Mnetwork).

Yup... and sometimes one other DSM comes.. this kid frank from Midland Park. And you'll also have a few srt4s, n/a 300zxs, and a few hondas.

maybe next time i will be out there. i bring my car,my bros galant and a couple other 1gs. what day is it again?:dsm:

Umm.... read the title of the thread. Not to sound like an ass, but all you have to do is scroll up. I hope to see some new faces there.

Mine ofcourse! LOL. There's this white cobra that shows up occasionally that I hear is pretty fast. Other than possibly that, there's a turbo'ed TT that also occasionally shows up, which looks pretty bad ass. After that, I think me and Mnetwork might come in 3rd and 4th.

Even in the tristate forums, bench racing is not allowed. If members wanted to share their 1/4 mile ET's or dyno numbers, they would have already listed it.

I'm so confused by the both of your comments. First off, TalonJohn, are you asking me how fast my car is? If so, let me suggest that you quickly learn to work on your grammar skill because thats the best way to get yourself banned from this website, even though mods might not care in conversational threads. It's still good practice. Spoolin, what do you mean by bench racing is not allowed? First, can you clarify what bench racing is, and also, what does racing have to do with someone asking for power numbers?

I second that question.. That was unclear to me also..

hat do you goes got horse wise or even 1/4 mile? i am just wondering my car is pretty bad ass.

"Hey how much horse power do you have or how fast are you in the 1/4 mile, just wondering because my car is pretty bad ass."

I took that as an insinuation on your typical "my car is faster than yours" comment and it is not allowed on tuners. Bench racing is anything that has to do with comparing, gesturing, thinking, hypothesizing, wondering, etc about what type of power you are making, how fast you are, how fast you are compared to xx car, how fast xx car is compared to xx car. This type of stuff is generally regarded as "street racing BS" and is frowned upon. What I was saying is if anyone was wanting to display how fast their car was or how much power they made, they would have a time slip or dyno slip to prove it. We don't "guess" here, it only promotes nay-say.

Urban Dictionary: bench racing

Thanks for clearing it up, however I don't see much harm in asking about the estimated power of a car. I often wonder how my car would compare to someone elses with no intention of ever racing. I mostly wonder how quick a car is just to get an idea of the kind of improvments someone gets outta all the work they did to their car compared to how much work I've put into mine. This is mostly to gauge who has done more effective work on their cars. Also, I wouldn't mind giving power numbers, but the only thing I have to go on is DSMlink and a comparison against cars with a known power number. And also to mention that I will not be driving this car for a long time except just to go to any possible car meets in which I wouldn't participate in any racing, I think it would be ok for me to say that I've gone up against a friends 345+whp(was dynoed, then added more mods) trans am and won. I think that is more than fair enough, but tell me if you disagree. The way I see it, I could be stating that my car makes 600hp and can beat ferrari's etc etc but if I refuse to race anyone, what harm can come from what is said? I am very responsible and wouldn't egg someone to race for any reason.

Sounds good. I don't know how many people still go there anymore because of the weather. I haven't been able to go myself in about 2 weeks, but I'm deffinately gonna try to atleast swing by and check out how it is. If anything I'll prob just turn it into a couple of drinks at hullihans with some friends.

no,i just suck on computers.sorry about all the confusion. i was just wondering what kind of cars were out there. i didnt want to go out there to find a bunch of 150 hp hondas. i am not looking to bench race. although, i havent benched raced in a long time.just kidding. i would like to come out there to see what nj has to offer. that comment confused the hell out of me too.sorry about that.
