Just because we haven't personally tested it doesn't mean what we say is opinion... I did my research and found that others experienced these problems with this (or a very similar) manifold. If someone had put it on a flow bench, and did heat and stress based failure analysis OR put in enough time to make sure the thing fits right to begin with, all this controversy wouldn't exist.

i didn't know where to post this... So is this correct?.. i'm thinkin its BS

This auction is for a 420A OBX Stainless Steel Turbo Manifold. I bought this for my 96 Non-turbo Talon, but the bolt pattern is upside down. I am assuming the this particular manifold is actually for Stratus, Cirrus, Avenger, or Neon NOT Talons or Eclipses. It looks like a very nice piece, and would compliment any engine bay. I payed over $300

I'm not following the question. So the bolt pattern was upside down but you bought it anyway? Are you trying to see how you can make it fit? Make your questions more clear if you want to get an answer or at least clarify what you're trying to say. I'll check back and hopefully my slow ass can understand the question and I'll help as best I can. Later man.

The 2.0L Stratus and Avenger heads heads are the same as ours... If you wanted an OBX manifold, you should just looked in the classifieds on here and 2gnt.com You could have saved a lot of money for a manifold that has bad rep in our community.

Post the link to the auction, or give us a pic and we'll be able to help you better. Also, the classifieds on 2gnt or here, would have definetly been better than egay.

**Edited for misinformation.

It wouldn't surprise me if a flange came welded on upside down from OBX. Can we get a link to the eBay ad, or a pic at least, to see if it looks correct?

That picture is right. The flange isn't upside down, the picture is! Its the non existent OBX Turbo top mount T3 & T4 Manifold. Everyone here says that it is non Existent, aka FAKE! Even if it was real, you would have to have an after market Evo hood, or no hood at all to make it work. I think it was made for only a Neon. But I don't own a neon so I dunno.

Pacesetter man. Once you return that header you got, snag a Pacesetter.

Pacesetter makes a Turbo Manifold? When did this happen?

BAsically...the ebay seller, was saying that it didn't fit on his car....the main reason being is that the thermostat housing gets in the way, which probably led him to believe that it was the wrong bolt pattern, when it probably is the correct one. However OBX didn't do enough R&D to figure that part out....but thats all in another thread: This one!

Only the ramhorn design was actually shown hitting the thermostat housing, I have not seen any pictures of the top mount (neon only) manifold being bolted onto a 420a dsm.

However, I do agree that if you look at that manifold, and imagine it on your car... Not only would the turbo hit the hood, but the wastegate would either be sitting where a FAN must go, or where the wastegate must go...

Also the plumbing for the Charge pipes.. Where the hell would they go...

I think that manifold once again was only designed for a Neon, and if you did bolt it up to your 420A, it would only be good for a race setup to where you don't need the hood and can change out the radiator and setup a special direct charge to your TB.

I have some pics of some minor modification to clear the housing. I need someone to host them though.

If the pics are sized to 700x700 or smaller and relevant to the thread, you can have them hosted at DSMtuners by uploading them directly into your post.

DSMTuners will host a picture anyways. No matter what the size, but will size it down automatically now to 700 x whatever!

See (look down), That picture is 2080x1368, I uploaded it, DSMtuners's new setup sized it down automatically to 700x460, Thanks DSMTuners! Just click advanced when posting a reply, click the paper clip thing, and it should pop up a window that has a few browse buttons, and an upload button. And thats all you need.
