Hey guys, i have a friend who wants to put the DSMlink for his 2g turbo DSM. The car is of 95' and has eprom ecu but the car were made in japan and has JOBDII system. So will Dsmlink work for it? please, help, may be someone installed already?

dont know if its got the JOBDII system but are you talking about the fto?

The FTO wasn't an eclipse. I know when I was in Japan. I saw 1 DSM for the 2+ years I was there. Although I was on Okinawa. Everyone who was a tuner went straight for Silvas or Skylines. I would think the answer would be no due to differences from JDM and domestic made eclipses. I would like to hear the answer you get from ECMTuning if it goes either way.

Hi, we have these type of Eclipse in Bahrain, I've tried using the same JDM ECU with dsmlink chip and both didn't work and both worked with TMO chip, so you'll have to get US spec 95-96 eprom ECU from ebay for a good price and buy dsmlink, simple and easy way, don't try your ECU it won't work as i said i tried with two JDM ECU which come from the factroy with 180km/h speed cut, with orange signal on the rear.
By the way I own the 1st US spec 97 Eclipse that came to Bahrain and the only one:)
The other one was AWD and got fired
The other one for someone who worked in US navey and took it back with him to US
So my car is unike in Bahrain because i'm the only US spec and 97 year model
Enjoy and dsmlink is the way to go I'm very happy with it
