I was taking a few friends for a ride my car was running good pushing 9 lbs boost and we came to a stop at a stop light. I took off in first gear rather slowly until i shifted to 2nd gear and gunned it, pulling quite hard as usual until sometime between 2nd gear around 6500rpm to 3rd gear about 3500 rpm when i soon found out that my boost gauge would not go to even 1-2 vaccuum let alone any boost. no vaccuum pressure has been noticeably lost on my boost gauge it still reads about 15psi vaccuum at idle like normal. but i have been consistently reminded of how slow my car USED TO BE and now is currently. Other than pressure in my engine anymore, my car seems to be running just normal. anybody have any ideas? i have checked what seems close to everywhere for blow off vaccuum lines etc. and have not found anything loose. any input will be considered and appreciated.
please help me get my boost back

You don't need a boost leak test for something like this. Just check to see that all your piping is still together. If you can barely reach 1-2 psi, it's going to be an obvious visual leak.

It doesnt look like any one has told you to check the wastgate acuator. Make sure it is not stuck open because this would make your car run ok but not build any or hardly any boost.Check your wastegate for any problems and let us know. travis

to my best understanding hahn turbo kits come with an internal wastegate actuator so i don't know how/if i can even check that. beleive me, i do not think it is any of my intercooler piping i have went over all of that a few times now. i recently installed my new hks bov i think i might want to look into that a little deeper now that i think about it, you never know. i have disconnencted my intake piping where it connects to the throttle body and revved her up and could feel pressure there but my boost gauge doesnt even read 1psi even when i give it over 3/4 throttle (with the whole system intact). so i have reason to beleive that it is somewhere in my new chrome intake manifold but i dont get why it wouldnt affect my vaccuum if that was the case. my car actually has a lot more done to it than is listed i am excited to get my profile updaded with some new pictures now that my girlfriend bought a new digital camera. i hope it is something easy so that i can be boosting again soon

You aren't going to be building boost free-revving, at most 1 psi. You have to put a load on the car (AKA drive it) for it to build boost.

On the underside of the Hahn turbo is the wastegate at one end it connects to the exhaust side of teh turbo. There is a lock tab holding the wastegate on that end. Check to make sure that it has not come off of there. You will probably have to feel for it.

Make sure the car is cool. :thumb:
