ok here is what i have... i have a reman head that i over heated and had to get decked.. now with the head instyalled i get a pinging from the cam area which i am thinking is the valves hitting the pistons at hi rpms.. they said they cut 18 thousandths off to get it straight.. and who knows how much was off it before that.. now my question is WHAT WOULD BE A BETTER FIX.. I PAID 250 FOR THE HEAD AND NOW 100 TO GET IT DECKED AND 50 FOR A NEW GASKET.. I WAS THINKING OF A BLOCK RISER AND A METAL HEAD GASKET OR MAYBE JUST A THICKER HEAD GASKET.. BY THE WAY WITH ALL TIMING MARKS LINED UP,,, THE EXHAUST CAM TIMING MARKS ARE OFF ALMOST A HALF A TOOTH SO WHAT SHOULD I DO
