Finally found some info on the Factory Mitsubishi Owners Day 2007 (Factory MOD '07) for the midwest region. Its set for Saturday, September 8 from 10AM-3PM. As usual, it will be held at the old DSM plant in Normal, IL.

Past events have had great turn-outs with vendor appearances (AMS, Cusco, Buschur, etc.), Mitsu concept car show-offs, food, door prizes, and factory tours.

Here is a map of the Mitsu plant and pics from last year's event (Factory MOD '06).

Hope to see you all there! :thumb:

Hope to be there. Anybody around the Wausau/Stevens Point Area want to set a spot to meet where we all drive down together?

Are you sure its September 8th? Last I heard, that date was tenative. But maybe things have changed. Where did you find the info?

The factory MOD event is a blast!! Can't wait for it this year!

Curt

I sent an email to [email protected] requesting info on the 2007 Factory MOD. This is the reply I received the next day...

The FactoryMOD event will be held on Saturday, September 8 from 10-3 at Mitsubishi Motors North America in Normal, IL. The address of the plant is 100 North Mitsubishi Motorway, Normal, IL 61761.

There will be after market vendors, plant tours, food, giveaways, etc. Come early and visit the displays and look at the other Mitsubishi vehicles. Thank you for your interest. If you have specific questions you can e-mail me at [email protected]--I'm located at the plant.

BTW Curt, I believe the pictures I linked to of Factory MOD '06 (in the first post) are yours. If they are, I hope you don't mind my sharing.

Yep, those are my pics. Thats totally fine using them. Anything to get the hype up for Factory MOD 07. I had received info that Sept. 8th was ~tenative~ thats why I asked. Regardless, I'll be there again this year.

Yeah, thank God I will be home for this. I am going this time!!!

Let me know when it gets close to that time. I would like to putt down there and check it out. We'll start a "Northern Indiana, Southern Michigan MOD '07 Convoy" thread when the date get nearer.

I'll have to look into going to this... a 3 hour drive on a Saturday morning will be kinda rough on me though being a student and stuff, but it sounds like it'll be worth it.

myeagleneedmods - if I make the trip I'll be coming from Milwaukee.... and I don't know Wisconsin all that well but I'm pretty sure you're well north of me? so I wouldn't mind meeting in like Rockford, IL or Beloit, WI.

I will have mine complete finally, but I won't have my new turbo setup yet... Oh well, at least I will go running this time... What is up with Midwest Street forums? No one has been on for a long time lately...

Well, even though I would love to go to this, I found out I have plans for that weekend. So I guess I wont be there :(

It's a long drive for me...living in Normal and all :D I'll be there!

LOL. I noticed the last two years when I was there, that there seems to be a lot higher percentage of Mitsus running around town. Looks like the town supports the plant pretty good.
