Eclipse RS needs fixin'

OK.Here is the deal: I just moved several months ago from Europe in NE area and i just bought a car a couple weeks ago - nice 98 RS.
The car is in good shape except a couple of things that are something normal for the age and millege.Like my belts need to be replaced /previous owner never changed them/ and i have a suspension problem that i can't diagnose.
I'm willing to work hard but i'm not a mechanic and also i dont't have a lot of frients for now, or a place to do the work, even the right tools for that.As far as i have for tools is just a small Craftsman metric tool box enough just to keep my regular maintanace like oil change an etc.
I was kooking for a few 2g DSM enthusiast who wouldn't mind hanging out and walking me through to do this.And of course all the eats and brows are on me.
I know that is my first post on here but i really don't have anybody to ask.
I just found a good job 30 min away from my house and every morning when i start my car i pray my belts not to broke on me in the middle of the road.
Any help will be appresiated

You might have better luck posting on CCDSM. They are the connecticut local chapter. I know there are a few guys down your way.
