Spring is in the air and its time to clean out your garages.

What: AMS EVO/SUBARU/DSM Swap Meet and FREE BBQ!!!!
Where: AMS 2442 E. Oakton St Arlington Heights, IL 60005
When: May 6th 2007
Time: 9AM untill nature turns out the lights or we get too tired to go on

For those that are new to this little event the idea is simple. Every year (sometimes twice) we open up our parking lot to our customers and have ourselves a little flea market if you will. Last year we filled our lot and the two adjacent lots. Given the fact that this year we are inviting the subaru crown you can be assured it will be even bigger. SO GET HERE EARLY IF YOU WANT A GOOD SPOT!!!

Last year we had well over 200 cars here. If you have been looking for a deal on used parts THIS IS THE PLACE!

We will have sectioned off areas for setting up your goodies to sell or trade. These go really fast and if we run out...we run out.

The Rules: We are all adults here so please use your head on what you want to bring here and sell. They dont have to be car parts but leave the grey area stuff at home. You can buy, sell trade...whatever. Just keep it clean.

Examples:

Good: Video gaming equipment and accessories
Bad: Your 5 foot water bong
Good: Stereo equipment
Bad: A series of bad bootlegged DVDs being sold out of your trunk
Good: a Radar detctor
Bad: A radar detector you just stole out of a car last night

and in case you blew by it in the opening details of this post we are having a ...

FREE BBQ

DUE TO THE EXPECTED SIZE OF THIS EVENT WE HAD TO PUSH THIS TO SUNDAY MAY 6th THIS IS GOING TO BE BIG!!!

Seriously, best advice ever is to get there REALLY EARLY!! I got lucky and got a spot up front last year but my friends had to VIP section off some cones to save me a spot...Ha, it fills up quick, and I seriously don't doubt there being 300-400 cars showing up...

Better get some more burgers!

BTW, Scott your car is disgusting! Ha, there was a bunch of gossip going around in the stands about the car, people arguing over what was going wrong and what turbo you were using and whatnot....Thought you would've got a kick out of it....Couple guys swore you were using a 37r...Don't know how they came up with that one (?)

Just so you guys know this is our shopping list for the mornings food run:

Due to Parking constraints we are going to have to make some changes to the days activities. The Main AMS lot or YELLOW LOT will ONLY be available to Vendors looking to sell their product. Anyone coming to purchase or simply enjoy the days events will have to park in an alternative lot about 100 feet west of our building. The AMS A-Team van will be parked at 2420 E Oakton in the "Oakton Industrial Commons" we will have someone there directing traffic into that lot. Again IF YOU ARE NOT A VENDOR SELLING PRODUCT PLEASE USE THE SECONDARY OR RED LOT AT 2420

Scott, Arne and the guys here have just set out a TON of parts that we are selling. I have people asking me to camp out overnight to setup. I can't do that but I will allow people in as early as 8AM to the vendor lot.

Here is what our kitchen looks like for round one:
