im new on here and i have had my 90 talon tsi awd for about a year now, i have minor modifications to it (nothing too special). I was wondering if there was anyone else in the aurora/montgomery/naperville/oswego area that would like to help me figure out whats wrong with this damn car...all of my friends have toyotas and hondas, and none of them ever want to help me, so i figured its time to make some dsm buddies....i love my dsm so much but its just a bastard sometimes

How can you ask for help without telling us what your problem is? You just want some random DSMers in your area that my know nothing to chime in or are you looking for a shop to take it to?

Like slow99x said, give a detailed description of the problem. Correct spelling and grammar is a plus, and we will do our best to help.

it has a reallly bad idle surge, and the clutch pedal sucks itself to the floor, and sometimes the car feels like its always at 5% throttle and its really boggy. sorry for not bein descriptive enough...im new to this forum thing

I see you have done a lot of work with the fuel system. Do you have a fpr? When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? Did you put in a new clutch/flywheel when you did the engine? Have you checked the clutch fluid level? I hope you have a datalogger, i know i've had to tune and retune my car because i had leaks in my exaust manifold and at my fpr. I think to biggest thing is knowing your car and where your leaks are. I sniff around my engine bay and look for wet spots almost every time i come home. Sorry im not really in the area but i hope this helps.

I noticed you have an intake and a "custom" FMIC. Did you boost leak test it and then secure the intake so that is will not separate from the turbo under load?Your idle surge sounds like a bad IAC (idle air control) motor or a bad leak causeing the IAC to try and compensate. The lag could be caused by a boost leak in the IC system. As far as your clutch pedal, the clutch master cylinder goes bad on our cars all the time. Yours is pretty easy to change unlike a 2g. See if you are losing fluid and if it is replace it.

i got all the problems fixed now....thanks for the help and sry for bein a new guy to forums....im usually a quick learner
