I was poking around under my hood doing a coolant flush and I found a random sensor chilling out in my tranny mount. It's plugged in to my wire harness but not threaded into anything. Here is a pic (sorry about the bad quality, its not focused on the sensor):

What is this sensor? What does it monitor? Should I put it back in? The car runs fine with it out all guages except oil pressure guage works...

looks like a pressure sensor - hard to tell with that pic -
are there 2 wires going to it ? I also thought maybe reverse lights.
 
I take it you don't have A/C? That connector is for the a/c presure sensor switch, but that sensor does not look like the a/c presure sensor switch. You will be just fine if you take the sensor out. The a/c pressure switch will not effect vehicle performance.
