I am in the process of installing my brand new 6 bolt block.I will be using my 2g head with it. I noticed that on the 2g block, one of the water lines is directly attached to the block but on the 6 bolt there is no spot for it.How do I go about running that line? I am using a 2g water neck and t-stat housing....
thanks

Where is the line (on the block)? what did it run to previously? Is it the hole under the waterneck (behind the turbo) right on the block?

yes, it was right on the block and it went to the turbo....

Sounds like the coolant return line. Do you still run the coolant through your throttle body? If not you can plumb it back in through the big waterpipe (on the passenger side where it wraps around the block).
If you are still running coolant through your throttle body and don't have any of those connectors open you can use a 1G waterpipe (I can't remember if the 2G's have it or not) and connect it to the bottom of the waterpipe in the front. There's a place to screw it in facing downward right behind the turbo on the waterpipe.
Does this answer your question or am I missing it?

for reference:

block > turbo = water FEED line
turbo > water pipe nipple = water RETURN line

This is for a 7 bolt. If needed, you can find multiple sources for your water feed, if you're not taking it from the block anymore. (example, thermostat neck)

so just drill into the t-stat housing and run a line?

If using a 2G water pipe, there is three nipples you can get water from. 2 on the thermostat housing and one on the pipe near the water pump. I usually block this one off and use the two on the housing. I run three cars with 2G heads and 6 bolt blocks. One is even a 1G. 2G heads are better anyway. More potential there.
