Firstoff I've been looking at buying a project dsm for sometime, just trying to find one for the right price. Well today I went to take a look at this 1g tsi and was pretty impressed. But before I can spend lots of time researching all I'll need, I have to make up my mind by tomorrow since the buyer will be selling it either to me or some one else. Please help me decide if this would be worth it.
If you guys can please take a look at this and tell me what you think I would be greatful. There are over $6k+ in this car alone, not to mention the brand new rims/tire, slotted brakes and new pads, as well as a new fmic.. He is selling it for $3,600
Here's the pics, and a complete build list at the bottom. There are about 130k miles on the body, and about 35k on the turbo/engine/ tranny. Just some highlights: Shep racing stage2 trans, 20g turbo, 6bolt bottom end with 2g pistons, Methanol cooling mist system. You can view everything at the bottom pics with the complete build list. Starting up there was some idle surge due to custom prototype cams, but it eased off and idled better once warmed up. And the guy that did the fmic and cooling mist said its about 90% complete. He also said that it needs a good dyno tune and management (such as dsm link) to really reach full potential, but is a 400+ hp car.

So please tell me what you think and what I should do, thanks!

And its actually quite beyond what I had in mind if I got a 1g awd anyway.. parting it then piecing it back would be an option, but I'm still a newb with dsms and would have a difficult time trying to go from all out race car to a reliable streetster as oppose to stock to mildy (reliably) modded.
