OK guys I am doing a rebuild on my 1g 6 bolt. I am using 1g pistons also. I would like to know which rings should I buy. I do not think my goals are going to exceed 400 whp in the future. I was looking in to getting a hastings chrome piston ring set from autozone. Should I get these or go to the mitsu dealer and get them from there? Or, are there better rings out there that would work well with this application on stock 1g pistons. If so, what are they and where can I buy them from.
-thanks for all your help!

On my 2.0 I went with Total Seal Gapless and had good luck with them.

On my 2.3 I went with the rings that came with the Wiseco pistons and they to were good.

are there any other good brands that you would recommend that are out there that I could get besides total seal?

where do i get factory rings? From the actaul local mitsu dealer? Arent those hastings chrome rings that I talked about going to be the same as actaul factory rings since there maunufactured to OEM specs?
-thanks

anyone else have expereince with hastings? I know they have been around for a while. Also are the rings on the non turbo dohc 6 bolt different than the turbo model 6 bolt, or the same?
-thanks

I have used the hasting chromoly rings on my 3000gt vr4 and they worked fine. and I abused that car every day. I recomend them.
