can my agx's hold up with my sportlines?

kyb says not to drop them more than 1.5in. how long have you ran that setup?

They're fine. I've seen that combo on a few cars, and I even had it for a while too. They'll hold up fine.

personally i've had onlly bad experiences with the agx's. i had them on my 91gsx with B+G springs (about 1.8" drop). the fronts blew in less than a year.
then i had them on the galant with ground controls sleeves (lowered about 1"). the fronts just barely lasted a few weeks after a year. got two replacements for the front and not even few months later the adjusment screw on one of the front ones froze solid. i will never buy agx's again so i went with a hotbits setup.

Seriously. My rears have blown in less than two months, but the fronts haven't because they're riding the bumpstops. I'd say spend some extra money and go with konis. That's what I'm moving to. But I wish I had gotten the KSport 1 piece set up... :(

My AGX's lasted about a year with my Eibach Prokits. That was normal daily driving and not very much Autocross or other hard driving. I put some decent miles on them.

I think it would be helpful if all those who says they're holding up mentions what type of driving they do. Also, an estimate of how long (and how many miles) you've had them on for.

If you're serious about good handling, you would be far better off going with Koni. I finally broke down and got mine this year - I'd never go back to KYB. If you don't care about handling all that much, KYB will be fine. But do your research. You'll see a lot of complaints about fast wear with lowered cars.

Good call.

-Less than 3 months and 6,000 mi. on mine and the rears are gone. Spirited driving, no time for autocross, and some decent roads. Although they are in a lot of disrepair lately.

my setup has been performing well for the past 5 months, about 4-5k miles, and numerous NYC potholes. 3 in the front, 6 in the rear!

Going to low and runnin NO, OLD or CUT jounce bumpers will kill twin tube shocks like agx's...
Dont blame the shocks if you have run any of the listed above... Eibach may say it ok to cut them... ITS NOT!!!!

Hotbits tuning USA/Parker Rally Sport
(Motorsport shock services)

Prefer illuminas over koni myself. Easier to adjust the rears. Not sure about with sportlines as I have pro-kits.
