I have been reading and reading about the bolt on 50 trims, and there are so many suggestions and what not, that it gets all scrambled in my head. My goal for my car right now: I just got a new motor built(check profile). I am looking at these 50 trims for it now. I want to get to about 450 awhp, and then I will leave it at that, unless it becomes an all out drag car then. (which I will worry about later.) I know that with a 50 trim so far, I need bigger injectors, I plan on getting some 680's. I know you need a afpr, the aeromotive one is the one I plan on getting. And then I know you need some sort of fuel management. I have been planning on getting the MAF-t for awhile now, and I will still get that. I have read that I can get the safc to fine tune it, but that the maf-t will be fine for a base tune for some fun daily driving. My buddy told me thay I would have to get the car on a dyno to get the car tuned before I could really have fun with the 50 trim. Is this true? I have read a lot on these bolt on 50 trims, and i have never read anywhere that you have to get it tuned on a dyno to run more boost. I know it is a great idea to get it on the dyno, but is it absolutely necessary? I just want for now to get the 50 trim get it all hooked up, and run it at 15 lbs. My motor is still pretty new (24 miles on it right now) It will have more miles on it by then, but I still am not going to give it hell just yet. So, what exactly do I need to run the 50 trim safely on my motor at 15-20lbs.
