Thanks for letting the NoVA people know about the local show, it looks like there is some cool old skool cars that show up. Even though the car is not running I'm sure I can swing buy and check out some of the hot rods and import cars.

This is technically the first annual "car show" so you haven't missed any in years ast, but technically this is the 3rd car show we've had here at Fair Oaks.

It began as "Ten31 : Trunk-Or-Treat" A Halloween event where cars line the perimeter of the parking lot with trunks full of candy for the kids to trick or treat around to, enjoy a carnival atmosphere, a big screen drive-in-esque showing of Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin, Spongebob's Halloween special, and others. We always had a running "best trunk" award for the participants, so I thought I’d pimp the eclipse and the PT cruiser with underbody neon, pumpin audio/video system, and other cool car show bling ;) and from there it evolved into a showcase of tricked out rides and some older antiques, musle cars, and a VW club showed up with some nice rides. So that was 2 years ago and it has gone from a handful of cars to last year's several dozen rides!

We hope this being specifically a "car show" should bring more of the show cars and cruise-in folks, and should have atleast 100 cars, since this should also be a nicer time of the year for weather, although last year Halloween it was in the 60's!

So pass the word to your neighbors, friends and family about the show. This year there will be awards given out to the show cars, a musical stage, and still some amusements for the kiddies, and refreshments onhand so we don't wither away. The awards are best in show to the "student's pick" from the academy kids, and a couple others. Dash plaques will be given out to registered entries as well as a nice little goodie-bag. It should be pretty cool and looks like one of the first events of the season. :thumb:

Hey is this show still on? This is an old thread but showtime is this weekend and I don't see anything about it on the www.fairoakschurch.org page. As of right now they're calling for light rain this saturday. Is there a rain date? If it's still on I'll be there with my 97 GST representing the DSM power. Couple other well-behaved people I could bring too. If you want more publicity try posting it on my little website:
http://www.FairfaxUnderground.com

I can also post it to NoVA Street Forums. Let me know, I'm looking forward to it. Last year's pics look pretty neat. Very diverse.
