how much hp gain would i get with a stage 2 star turbo kit? i cant seem to find it anywhere

It all depends on how much boost your planning on running. Also, what supporting mods you have to go with it...

I pulled 208whp at 8psi on my star stage 2 etrim bb kit completely untuned, slipping stock clutch (gave out the next day LOL), and detonated on the dyno at 6k rpms. I was running lean as heck and only got one pull in. I adjusted my sfmu afterwards to fix the lean problem but am on a used stock clutch now that wont hold under boost and im broke so i cant get a good one  . My other mods were 2.5" testpipe and 2.5" greddy evo exhaust, jeep tb, extrude honed top 1/2 intake mani, afx udp and i think thats it.

how much did that setup cost? i am now looking to go no turbo, as the costs is just to high for me, unless someone has a cheaper route, which is very unlikely  :dsm:

The total for my setup including guages (boost, egt, fuel press, oil press, and apex tt) and extra stuff I needed was about 4grand. I got just my turbokit was 3200 from wyatt in california brand new with all the upgrades i could get from him. I had a bov, fuel pump, and boost guage so i told him not to include those to take a little off the price which he did but when i got my kit those parts were in there too LOL. The basic stage 1 kit from him was something like 1800 tho i belive.

you can also go the used route. You can get an entire kit with FMIC for 2k if you wanted to. but some people dont like that idea. I went that route, and havent found anything wrong yet!

2k you say, intresting, why not save up another 800 or so, and just get a brand new star stage 2 kit? :dsm:

Well, if you buy a brand new stage 2 kit, youre going to have to trash a big percentage of the crap parts that come with the kit. You'll also need a couple extra things that the kit doesnt come with. But if you buy used, the kit will usually come with everything you do need and A LOT more. For 2300 I got the star stage 2, 2.5" ic piping, a spearco FMIC, injectors, autometer gauges, custom 2.5"dp with flex section,Turbo XS bov. and a missing link. see, just many things that a brand new kit doesnt come with. But then again, most people dont trust buying used like i said, so i guess its all up to you!
