Okay...3" turbo back, 2.5" uicp set for blow thru, maf translator 2.01, small 16g, walbro 255lph fuel pump, 560cc injectors, mbc.

I just installed the walbro 255lph fuel pump and 560cc injectors yesterday and finished them today. I have the base setting on the maf transltor v. 2.01 at setting D (560cc injectors) The idle seems fine, mid throttle seems fine, but as soon as I floor it and the boost gets above 15psi the car makes a put put sound coming out of the exhaust and Idk what it is. Simultaneous with the put put sounds the cars acceleration stutters like hell and it doesn't pull at all. I do have a data logger but I changed the batteries and it erased the software which I'm gonna install at my friends house later. Do you guys have any idea what could be wrong? Idk if it's running rich or lean or what? By the way I'm running on 91 octane gasoline. Or is it something faulty with the bolt ons? I'm still on the stock 02 housing so I get boost creep at times, but Idk if that has anything to do with it cuz I haven't seen the boost spike past 20psi, and I've got the fuel to support it. Once the put put kicks in the car won't boost past 15, I have no idea what's wrong. And I don't want to f the engine up. Can you guys help me out? Thanks~Brandon.

P.S. All injectors are plugged in, fuel pump is in right and works ( I can hear the whine)mbc and intake piping are all secured and not leaking.

P.S.S. This isn't a big problem, but the car reads Empty all the time now LOL, did I bend the floater or is it stuck?

If you do not have an AFPR that is the problem and you will not be able to lean it out. The fuel pump is too much for the stock regulator. YES you bent the rod on the pump assembly. Check out the install on www.vfaq.com as they address the problem you have with no reading. Mark

I don't know if it's running too rich or not. Because I leaned the hell out of the engine and I still had the put put sound, like it's backfiring 100 times in a row. I leaned the settings to 600cc injectors and WOT @ 35% lean and still had the same problem towards higher boost (17-18psi). Would 91 octane have anything to do with it? When I was driving at WOT earlier for testing a puff of white smoke came from the exhaust, so idk what's up. thanks for the help guys

I just put a Walbro 255 in mine. It does not matter how much I lean mine. Without an AFPR it will run rich, IT WILL RUN RICH! It is not the 91 octane. If you have a Walbro and do not have an AFPR then get one. PM me if you like. Mark

sounds like boost leak at certain speeds or RPM. do a boost leak test and see you'll never know.
