I'm blowing through headlights like crazy here and i went and tested the battery across the terminals at idle and that was 15 volts. anything above 1500 rpms and it spikes around 18-20 volts at the battery.

i assuming that my voltage regulator is bad.

where is it located on these cars? is it separate from the alternator or is it part of the actual alternator itself.

also is there a test i can do for the alternator and the regulator to check for proper operation. i don't have a factory manual or one of those chiltons/haynes manuals.

nothing in the FAQ so i posted here.

thanks guys :thumb:
