Is it possible to make one of these cables or do you have to buy them...

where can i buy them at.... OR

where can i get instructions to make one

THANKS!!!

Squeak,

Here is a link to the MMCd page. there is a lot of good info on the page. Including instructions on making a datalogging cable. http://mmcdlogger.sourceforge.net/

This link is to WWW.3si.org, there is a huge amount of info on MMCd pocket logger there and also the latest updated software version 1.6n i think. The only thing you'll have to do is register (its free) to goto the download page.

This is a link to Pocketlogger they sell a program and a cable that only works for you and your reg number that they give you. there is lots of great info there and it also tells you what PDA's will work with the software. basically you will need a PDA with OS 3.5 or higher. http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=dsm

Here is a link to "Palm-N-Stein" it's free logging software but IMHO MMCd is better for free.

Lastly, this is the link to DSMparts.com. They have an already made cable for around $70 and it's worth it. This is where I got my cable.

Hope all this helps.

alright so thats the cable but where do i get the software, and secondly HOW HARD IS IT TO TUNE FOR A 2G on just the timing curves and other stuff... it seems like it would be real hard

Thats for a 1g, the link he provided. Looks as though you have a 2g. Id recommend pocketlogger, good software, help, and a forum to boot.
