JDM or EDM taillights (amber corners)

i got a set of these JDM tail lights on my car for about a year now, i was just wondering if anybody here ever tried rewiring them so that the amber lens lights up as signal/hazzard and not part of parking lights. i like the way they look during the day, but it's annoying at night... it looks like a mis-wired bulb to a NON-DSM eye.

thanks. i was about to tap wires from my front signals and run 'em all the way to the back :thumbdown
