like the title says, if i get a 2g exhaust manifold, do i have to change anything, or will it bolt right up to my 1g awd exhaust? also, is the exhuast manifold gasket the same on a 2g as a 1g, cause i have a 1g gasket but want to put on a 2g manifold. any help would be appreciated

charles

I am pretty sure you will need the 2G manny gasket, the 2G manny is bigger than the 1G.

AH ok. I figured since the ports should be the same (if not bigger) on the 1g head, it would use the same, but you're probably right! :)

:thumb: Ah, I miss read your question. I was thinking the manifold-to-turbo gasket. I think you should be fine with the 1G exhaust manifold gasket.
Sorry!

the mani is the same. the 2g mani is less prone to cracking and the the ports are a little bigger, so less porting is nessary.

You have to grind down one of the corners, but other than thats it bolts right up.

so you guys think my 1g gasket will fit? and what do you mean grind one of the corners....wich one? but this is going to bolt up to the exhaust right?

A lot of people say you have to grind on it but when I installed mine it just slid right on and I used a new 1g exhaust manifold gasket.

i think if you have a 90-92 it will bolt up no problem. the problem is when you have the 10mm studs on the 93 up and you have to fenagle the damn thing on there with the freakin power steering pump right there in the way of all the fun.

2G manifold will fit,

Better yet is the EVO III manifold, with an EVO III O2 housing. Port both for a durable, flowing street setup.
