Okay, lot of you know that charge air make the AFPR and I know lot of you don't have it. What I'm look for is people who do have it and what they set there base at or can. It's the 2G reg with the adapter plate. See my problem is I can't set my base any lower then 42 even with the vacume at 16-19. With the vacume hose pulg in I can only get 42 as the base and as the lowest setting.. I just want to know if anyone else has this problem? Thanks a lot.

You dont set the base fuel pressure with your vacuum hose on. You set it without the vacuum hose so it get atmospheric pressure. For 2G, the base fuel pressure should be 42-43psi.

I know how to set up the reg. I'm saying when I hook the line back up to the reg after setting it at 43 it sit there at 43. When you hook the vacume line back up, isn't it going to go to like 36 or so? Also I can't set the fuel pressure any lower then that. That the problem. I also have a Walbro 255 HP rewired.

Yes, it should go lower than the set pressure. If you can sense vacuum from the hose then the AFPR is not working properly.

I get it to work but then my base is at 52. I can't go lower? I think it the 90 degree elbo. I going to extend my stock fuel line and put a straite pipe instead of 90 degree one.

I have not seen the 2G version of the FPR but are you sure you got the right spring? My spoolin up AFPR comes with an additional spring that supposely run higher base fuel pressure (60 and up).

That is exactly my point. Did they did give you a higher rated spring? If they do, you wont be able to turn it down enough. You will have to call them and ask. Tell them your problem and see what they say.

I put a straight fitting on the reg and Tried to set it at 43 with out the vacume line and tried to get 36 when the vacume line is connected. But I can't get anything lower then 41 or so. I've got my fuel pump hardwire and that might be another reason why I can't any lower. I will try to unwire it and see if that helps. But I shouldn't have to do that. Like I said there is a design flaw in the reg. Tony when makeing the 2G one assume that the return line was like the 1G one. The reason I know this is because he told me to buy a 1/8 to 5/16 barb fitting. And that the return line on the 1G and would not work on the 2G one witch is 1/4. Witch I don't understand why people who bought the 1G one haven't complained about? Maybe they just crammed it on there. But what ever it is the walbro is just too much. If anyone else has the same problems let me know. I talk to mike and he said he was going to talk to tony and see what happen. He said that I might need a stronger spring. But how much fuel can you fit through a 1/4 return line.
