Do they hook up the same? If you could find a 1G EPROM ECU N/A 2.0 of the same year could you socket it and flash the EPROM with the turbo code and use it in a turbo 2.0?

Basicly I have a 90 or 91(manufacture date in 90 so it could be either) N/A 2.0 in my driveway I'll be stripping before it hits the junk yard. I paid the guy 70 bucks to strip body parts and the windshield from it and I wanted to know if I should keep the ECU if its EPROM.

Nope, it won't work isn't the right answer.

It can be made to work but you need more than just burning a new EPROM.
The NAs are missing the knock sensor board, a couple of driver chips, and need parts in the injector dampner circuit changed and a few other misc changes.

It might not be cost feasible but it can be done.

thanks steve, I apreciate it. I'll just sell off the ECU then. Since removing it I've found it isn't EPROM anyhow.
