Would this work as an alternative to poor mans profec? Read the taboo link first, then tell me if this will work.

In my theory, the boost signal goes straight to the WGA through the MBC with the solenoid closed, or is bled off through the solenoid for the "high boost" setting. You then control the "high boost" with a bleeder valve. The taboo way uses 2 solenoids, my way only uses one.

But would this, in theory, work?

Does anyone know where I would tap that 12v source in? I think I heard of an "ignition" wire by the stereo that I could tap into? Ill give this mod a try once I get my car back. Id think that I would need a 12v source that would only be on when the ignition would be on. Since I dont think draining power from the battery to power the solenoid (If I left the switch on).

Would the cigarette ligher wire work?

where the cd player hooks up there is a red wire and a yellow wire. I think the red is constant power for the memory in the cd player and the yellow is ignition.. it was a while since i wired up my cd player so im not sure.. but check that way I think thats it. tell me what your using as a switch or whatever to change where the boost source goes I want to build one.
