I'm pretty much running stock right now, I have a K&N Filter, and just did the little DSM tricks, like opened up the airbox, Hacked Mass airflow, and thats about it. So what should my Knock be at? And how can I lower it? I noticed that I reached up to 36 Knock today, at about 6500 rpm's.

36 knocks is bad. There is no certain amount. Less than 10 I would guess. but you can't really tune your car w/o anything.

Well it said 36 for a split second then droped to like 11, it was weird. Usually its gets to like 12 tops, sometimes it will get a little higher, but only when I really get on it.

Anything under 6 is ok..... the ECU will start to pull your timing after that.

7+ Knock = Less Timing = Less Power

i try to run about 8-12 knock........ that way i still making big power, but it keeps my timing around 17-18 degrees most of the time.

you can never get a straight answer on this question, but if i have timing above 18 degrees, i turn up my boost 1 lb at a time until i get timing to lower, until its where i want it, the knock usually falls right into place

thats just how i do it........ really upto you after you do your research

dont get scared of your EGT either. i was hitting 15psi and 1625 on the EGT........ when i upped the boost to 17psi. the EGT dropped to 1590.. so dont be afraid to turn it up some more....... it might lower, but keep an eye on it in case. i guess by upping the boost the MAS read more airflow and compensated with more fuel. only reason i could come up with.

Ok, I noticed that my knock only gets high when I'm in second gear, when I take off fast in first gear it gets to like 2-3 knock tops, then when I get to the top of third gear it will go way up to 26-36 knock, only for a split second, and then third gear is fine, its about the same as 1st gear. I also notced that when I have my headlights up, my temp at the mass airflow sensor is around 16 degrees cooler, and my knock is a little lower. Am i just sucking in to much hot air? I am going to build an airbox for it here in a few days, maybe that will help.

Put some NGK BPR7ES plugs in today, my ping went way down, notice it only goes to about 14 knock sum tops. Maybe I should have gotten the BPR8ES plugs, then I would probably have close to zero ping. I normally hit like 6 ping tops, but then it has its little spikes and goes to 16, which only happens in second gear at about 5500 rpm's, then it doesn't do it again.
