Enkei Wheels

How good are these? The reason I ask is they look really good and they have some styles that I really want. However, the shop that I'm looking at them has them out for display, among others, and they seem chipped, like there is some sort of paint on them to make them look silver, it looks white underneath. The other wheels are not chipped like this. What does this mean and do they hold up well when driven?

Enkei makes fine wheels. They're not HRE or anything but they're nice. I used to have a set.

I love my enkei's. Couldn't ask for me out of the RPO1's. 17lbs for a 17x8 and I'm happy.

I have been plenty happy with mine. Quality was very important to me when I was searching for wheels. The chipping you saw could have been the finish, but they are most certainly metal.

Oh, I know they're metal, but I don't want the silver finish chipping off when I'm driving it. Anyway, I'm gonna hold off for a little while, a guy that lives in my apartment building just got his wheels stolen, and I'm moving soon so I'll get them after I move to a safer neighborhood.

mine have been on my car for about 3 years. i love them. unfrotunately right now imagestation is down, but once it comes back up you can see them in my signature. they have held up extremely well and have caused me no troubles at all. the only issue at all is a slight scratch on one of them from scraping a curb. but the silver didn't flake off it just got indented kinda and its so small you wouldn't see it unless you were cleaning it. mine are 16x7 and weigh in at around 15-16 lbs.

actually, those are the exact wheels I was looking at and they are on sale, so maybe I'll buy them now and wait till I move, it's only gonna be a few months, and I'd probably rather put them on after winter

go for it, i love these things. another nice touch is that oyu can get custom center caps like mine or stick with the sotck chrome ones. they have blue red, and i think carbon fiber. might want to double check that though as that was about 3 years ago. here's a few more pics of the rims.

The ones I was looking at had the blue center, I just assumed it was always blue, I might try to get the red ones. Thanks alot! I might go later this week and pick them up.

if you can't get ahold of the other colors, i have a whole set of chrome lugs (keyed of course) and a set of chrome center caps. all for a 92 dsm, but will fit any of them.

also, what size are yours? I was looking at 17" but I'm not sure if I'd have to do anything other than get low profile tires

I have CDR9 17" . I LOVE THEM! I couldn't ask for anything better, they look so good.

mine are 16's and by keyed i mean that you can't remove the lugs with simple tools. you need some sort of adapter. (of course i have that adapter)

i don't see them too often on websites, but alot of the shops around here still have them.
