This 1996 GSX was beyond gone when the customer brought it to Strictly Performance Motorsports, from tons of rust, worn suspension, and a bad motor. This GSX was saved and a full build was under way with tons of new parts including Strictly fab Manifold and Strictly CTSV big brake kit. Some pictures of the progress. and more to come.. stay tuned.
First thing to address was the rust..
After the bay rust was repaired and resprayed hard to tell but most of both shock towers were cut out!
Then the rear sub-frame came out. but not without a fight.
Every suspension component was media blasted and painted, along with underbody being coated. Rubber bushings were swapped (burned out) for urethane.
Then the gas tank was removed, to expose the rusted brake lines!
New brake line were made and a nice layer of under coat to protect from future rust.
The bay looks a little more finished with a fresh Strictly built motor and head, rebuilt trans, running the Strictly fab manifold and down pipe along with a few other goodies!
The suspension was also modified with new parts all around, urethane bushings Strictly CTSV big brake kit and D2 coil overs with EVO rear brakes.
We will keep you guys updated this car should be on our dyno very soon Strictly and the owner of this junk yard bound GSX couldn't be happier

- Thread: ECMTuning: No more back orders!!
This has been a long time coming. But we have finally managed to dig ourselves out of that seemingly perpetual back order state we were in. If it weren't our non-EPROM conversion boards it was our GM MAF cables or our datalogging cables. It seemed like we just couldn't keep up.
Well, we're caught up and ready to go. Nothing should be listed as back ordered any more and nobody should have any orders left in a back ordered status. 1G packages are shipping again as are the GM MAF cables and we have plenty of non-EPROM conversion boards on hand. If you feel like you have a pending order with us that's still being held up, let us know ASAP and we'll get it resolved.
Thanks SOOO much for your patience! I didn't hear a single complaint the entire time. I'm so glad everyone understood that we were just as frustrated as you were and I apologize again for how long this took to resolve.
Believe it or not, January 2017 will mark our 15th year in business! I could never have imagined....
With that in mind, we've decided to finally try something we've been asked about every year since then...we're going to run a black Friday special!
Starting later today and running through Saturday, new ECMLink packages will be reduced by $50. That includes both the DSM and EVO1-3 packages.
Hopefully this helps makes a few holidays a little brighter!
- Thread: Thank you DSMers!
We just wanted to take a second to thank all the DSMers who have trusted in us, choosing our valve spring kits and other products over the competition, and keeping us in mind when building your DSM. We know you have other options out there. It means a great deal to us and we sincerely appreciate it!
Unlike various shops who cater to several platforms, we focus primarily on the 4G63. We develop parts for the platform, we race those parts, and we are determined to keep pushing the limits and help make other DSMers faster and more reliable. Few other shops are committed to doing this in the DSM world. Many have moved on to other platforms. We're still here.
If you are building your 4G63, give us a call at (734) 787-6459 and let us help. Find all of our products here:
Again, thanks for all your continued support. We look forward to supporting you in your DSM speed journey!
- Thread: DSM 68HTAs for $579

With the footprint of a stock turbo and a lot more punch than the E3 16g you can now enjoy your power for only $579 and $629 with actuator! This deal won't last long and is limited to stock on hand, but there are plenty on the shelf ready to fly, so if you're ready to buy we're ready to sell!

Another thing to take into consideration, some of the 30+ connectors we had to purchase in 500 - 1000+ quantities, are we ever gonna be able to sell all that on a platform like this? not even 5% to be realistic. Another example is we have 10,000 of the same terminals for a very old connector that no other car uses (to our knowledge) which makes the whole profit thing harder. I dont feel like we are obligated to share this with our customers, but this might clear the water a little.
We mention price will be a little higher, why? because it's way longer than a engine harness and it uses way thicker gauges of wire, it's practically like making 2 engine harnesses, and also if you want the option of quick disconnect there is gonna be one on each fender, we are not talking about anything crazy in here maybe a 15% increase in price compared to our reasonably price engine harness.
We already offer an engine harness for both models of this platform, we could easily continue offering just those options and jump into the continuation of the R&D of the Evo harnesses, but some of us still have love for this platform, and a fuse-box harness followed by a auto engine harness option seems to be the right thing, maybe not profit wise, but me personally don't like to leave things half done.
On a side note:
My opinion about posting another company's website in this thread is just not right(very good company if you ask me). especially when that said company doesn't pay supporting vendor fees in this website or is not a supporting vendor and besides that, our harness is plug and play no need to wire anything anywhere, so that is one big difference for some people.
If you guys have any more questions, just let me know.
Just want to start with a small introduction for those that do not know me. My name is Paul and I have been welding for about 6 years now. I am all self taught and love to build new things. I've been offering things such as my 10an catch can for years as well as my 2g coolant overflow tank.
Recently I decided to try and take this to the next level and see where I can go with it and hope it opens more doors for me.
I do welding, fabrication, 3d printing, plasma cnc and vinyl decals and recently taking on the retail side of things.
My website is still a work in progress so if anyone sees any errors please let me know
Now onto the good stuff!
I'm starting my sale off fun summer upgrades (shipping is ground to the lower 48)
2g Mishimoto Radiators
1g Mishimoto Radiators
Half sized Evo8/9 Mishimoto Radiators
L19 Headstuds for 7 bolt. $205 shipped
6bolt ones not available, sorry
Custom Spark plug covers made from aluminum
Rectangle shapes start at $25, L shaped ones start at $30
I design and cut these on my own CNC plasma table and can give either a sanded or very slightly brushed finish.
If there is any other products you are interested in please feel free to give drop me a message. Like me on FB to keep up with all my latest projects.
I've been getting a few requests to post pics. I'm still in the materials prep stage, so there's not much to show off or see. Prepping the raw materials is the most boring part of it and is also what takes the longest. But I haven't been in a big hurry as I am still waiting on balljoints from Coleman. As of last week, they gave me an estimated ship date of 5/27, so we'll see. Once I get them, all of the other materials will be prepped and ready, so they'll come together quickly.
All of the 4130 tubing is cut. Next step is to notch one end and turn the other end to length in the lathe. I'll probably be doing that tonight.
All of the bearing cups for the shock mount are turned down and ready. This part took forever!
Aluminum standoffs for the sphericals are finished and ready.
Random pic of boxes of components:
A billet blank doesn't mean that it is any more precise than if it was made from a cast or forged blank. The billet means that it might be able to be made of a better alloy that is tougher and resists flexing and wears better. Seeing as no-one has trouble with any of the cast blanks, I fail to see any benefit to this.
I really fail to see the need for any of this, I have and I'm sure many more have gone 10's and enough mph for 9's on a set of regrinds. Now were gonna have kids running around thinking they need $600 billet cams for their 16g setups.
- Thread: Feal 451 Rally Coilovers
We have been passionate about gravel driving for many years and have personally competed in Rally America and NASA Rally Sport events. We have also supplied suspension and offered suspension tuning service for professional level rally teams competing in most U.S. rally series including X-Games and Global Rallycross.
Until now, there has been a gap in the rally suspension market. Most systems sold in the U.S. simply do not have adequate after sales support and affordable/reliable rebuild services.
We have built a rally suspension system that performs exceptionally well and can be quickly rebuilt at a low cost. The Feal 451 Rally Racing coilover kit comes with more travel, strength, and better damping characteristics than the OEM and many other brands. This suspension system is also great for drivers who simply want to explore gravel terrain and have adventures with their car.
Inverted monotube, 45mm insert tube (MacPherson applications)
Swift brand barrel springs
Gusseted lower strut mounts
2mm oversized top studs (14mm x1.25) on most MacPherson applications
Aluminum top mounts
12mm thick camber adjustable front top mounts (MacPherson applications)
KYB Japanese motocross-grade bump stops
32 clicks of damping adjustability
Allows for 1" (25mm) lift or drop from stock height
Independent height adjustability
More travel than OEM
Available with external reservoir upgrade (2-Way & 3-Way Adjustable options)
Rebound separator valve
External nitrogen reservoir
Custom-length reservoir hose
2-Way: Independent compression and rebound adjustability (+ $1,500)

Now if anyone would like to see some actual pictures of it here it is the one we are running on our car, this one is missing the (2) Milspec quick disconnects at the moment. (it will be an option like out engine harness).
Sorry they are a little rough, but hope you all get the idea.
Thanks for being patient, guys. And sorry this is taking longer than expected. I've been house shopping HARD for the past 5 months and I finally just signed on one. So, I've been juggling that with fab work...
All of the fab work will be done this weekend. They will go to the powdercoater on Monday. I'm hoping the coater takes no more than a week. Once I get them back, It will take a couple days to chase threads, clean bearing surfaces, and assemble. So I'm hoping to be able to ship no later than about 2 weeks from now.
Thanks again for being patient everybody! I'll post some pics this weekend.
I drove up to the powder coaters shop today and was told the first batch of braces should be ready Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll be packing and shipping them as soon as they are back in my hands.
The second batch is VERY close to being done and ready to drop off to be coated too!
Please consider the R&D that went into the development. The quality aftermarket scene is quickly diminishing for this platform. If you break down the cost of quality materials and the time involved, the pricing is VERY reasonable. This should be the last wire harness a DSM should ever need. I have to say, some of the custom parts that have been released by supporting vendors and freelancers lately have been among the highest quality I have seen available for this platform.

It's nice to see a vendor taking the time to share their work with the community. To me, there's no better form of advertising than showcasing the type of work you guys are capable of, and letting your potential customers see what they will get for their money when they bring their business to your shop.
Not to mention, if you guys take the time to answer your customers' questions even half as well as you do for the members here, I'm betting communication in your shop is as good as the work you've shown.
I'm looking forward to more updates from Strictly.

For what it's worth, the 441 kit I ran on my 2G AWD was solid. Not too harsh at all for a daily driver, very compliant, though I didn't have the car slammed like some people do. And yes, they have the proper spherical bearing upper front mounts, which you don't see on most 2G kits, so you don't have to worry about the negative effects of the spring sitting directly on the upper mount.
There aren't a lot of suspension companies producing coilover kit options for this platform anymore, and most of the ones out there are extreme budget options that have no R&D invested in this platform outside of fitment. It's nice to see Feal stepping in and offering these kits with flexible options for different budgets, with the proper upper mounts for the 2G.
