- Background
- When I first bought this car, it was a bad deal. The previous owner of this car did not take really good care of it. It turned out that the Engine had Hyundai Crankshaft installed into it to increase the engine liter from 2.0l to 2.3l. It wasn't that bad to be honest due to the fact that low end torque was there, except for the fact that it had an oil leak inside the combustion chamber due to the pistons raising too high. This also warped the walls of the bottom block of the engine.
I did a complete engine rebuild, with more. While I was breaking the engine in, the coil pack on the Intake Manifold started to melt. This gave me an opportunity to upgrade instead of just fixing. So I bought myself a AEM EMS 2 standalone and Coil on Plug kit along with and a new Fuel system to make sure it didn't happen again.
The tune was only at 17 psi, since the tuner didn't want to go anymore beyond that to be on the safe side. My honest opinion is that, if it is built, why not push it to it's limits. So, my next biggest thing is a Ethanol setup/tune. For now, I'm working on looks. Will try to pretty up the engine more with some nice DYI modifications, new HID/LED Lights, Carbon Fiber parts (Painted ofcourse). Trying to make it atleast look decent. Not into the whole rice look. I like it clean look. Although, having a wide body kit on it wouldn't hurt. There aren't many wide bodies out there that meets my standards.
-Feb, 2015-
Ugraded Injectors to 1200cc, and turned the boost up to 23 psi and a Re-tune.
