- Background
- This is an Eclipse I purchased to fix up to become my daily. It is my first car. Woo boy I'm in for it now.
The previous owner was smart enough to park it when it began having issues, but the owner before them royally screwed up the car by adding a huge turbo system poorly. The motor mount is busted, so it makes the turbo actuator rub against the radiator fan, making a horrid buzzing noise when put in drive, beginning to move, or stopping. The entire car is in crisis mode and it's a wonder it still runs at all. It has trouble going over 20 MPH and hates accelerating. When it's on for extended periods of time, it starts smoking white out the exhaust. The exhaust smells heavily of unburnt gas when running.
I bought this car for quite the steal, and I really hope to turn this car back into the road-eater they were designed to be. If I can't do it, I'll likely part it out.
