- Well I had purchased a really mint 97 tsi a few years ago in hopes of building me a fast dsm, I'm not trying to set any records but in my head I knew what I wanted to do. I have aquired many parts over the last 3yrs and had received my final part ecmlink v3 when a few days later tragedy struck. I was on my way to pick up my daughter from school last august when I was rearended/side swiped by a kid in a Ford raptor. Their insurance company totaled out my talon and sent me a nice check for about 5grand. I bought my old one back from the insurance company for a measly 400 dollars. I searched for quite some time and I finally came across a 95 tsi shell that only had 46k out of denver co. So I had a new shell, over 6 grand in parts and a new motivation to get this baby on the road.
