- This was the first car I ever bought and my first dsm (obviously). I bought this car when I was 17 years old and I didn't know much other than basic stuff about it or cars in general. But over years of owning a dsm it turns you into a mechanic pretty quickly ;) Unfortunately I drove it like a teenager and beat the hell out of this car. My clutch was going out and I was inpatient trying to get it in 4th gear and I accidentally put in 2nd at 95 mph. Tranny blew up and took the block out with it. I ended up parting out what was still good and sold the shell. But this car is what got me into dsms and now I honestly don't think I'll ever have a bond with any other car quite like I had with this one. It was a sad day when I let her go.
