- Background
- My DSM has been in our family since my Grandmother purchased it from the dealer brand new back in 1997. My family purchased it about 9 years later, and now that my parents no longer have any want for the car I have been left with a choice: Sell it and buy a new car, or keep it. I have chose the latter. I'm a young car enthusiast that has a dream to go fast. I also have a car built for potential with only 60,000 original miles. Now that I have a job, it is time to get that dream turned into a reality. I want to take my car and turn it into a fully functional, but street legal beast. I want to be able to get into my car on a hot day and crank on the A/C, only to turn it off to smoke the Corvette at the stoplight next to me. I'm not sure what my full plan is for the car as of yet, but I do know that I want it to go fast and look good while doing it, while keeping it simple. No body kits, no two-tone paint jobs, just a simple drop and some bigger rims will do the trick. As for now, I am hoping to shoot for 350hp within one year, and I have time and about $3,500 to get me started.
